主要研究领域及兴趣
在掌握现有富厚微生物资源的基础上，进一步着眼于新分类单元微生物基因组的研究， 利用生物信息学， 卵白质组学， 分子生物学等技术要领获得一批具有新的功效，调控机制及代谢途径的新种和基因、卵白质、调控序列。并获得进化及起源的相关信息。对整个生态情况中微生物的群落漫衍，相互关系，生理代谢特性和共性开展研究，为探讨微生物在特定生境中相互间的关系， 微生物与情况的相互关系，情况与微生物的起源及进化奠基研究基础。利用生理生化等大通量筛选手段从疏散获得的极端情况微生物和新的微生物物种中获得大量具有应用价值的次生代谢类，酶类，脂类，多糖类，色素类等一系列产物。
